Ikechukwu Kalu (born April 18, 1984 in Kaduna ) is a Nigerian soccer player who currently plays for Singhtarua FC . The name Ikechukwu means energy from God .

Career

Kalu started his career at Jasper United in Nigeria . In the summer of 2002 he signed a contract with Sampdoria Genoa . After a season at Sampdoria, AC Milan secured his transfer rights and awarded him to Pro Patria , Pisa Calcio and FC Chiasso . He scored a total of 28 goals in 48 games at Chiasso, so Sampdoria bought Genoa Kalu back. He made his first Serie A game on November 10, 2007 against FC Empoli .

In summer 2008 he moved to AC Bellinzona . After only 20 games and one goal, however, he returned to FC Chiasso in July 2010 . He then played again for AC Bellinzona and in Albania for KS Teuta Durrës before moving to Singhtarua FC in Asia .
