The Ikinet Brook is a 10 km long tributary of the Labrador Sea in the north of Labrador in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador .

River course

The Ikinet Brook is created at the confluence of the Sikkoyavik Brook (left) and Umiakoviarusek Brook (right). It flows 10 km in a predominantly northeast direction and flows into the south bank of Okak Bay , 7 km southeast of the mouth of the North River . The catchment area of the Ikinet Brook covers an area of ​​872 km². It is mainly tundra landscape .

Sikkoyavik Brook

The left source river of the Ikinet Brook, the Sikkoyavik Brook , has its origin in a nameless lake 480  m high. It initially flows 35 km to the east. He then turns north for the next 10 kilometers. For the lower 20 kilometers it gradually turns northeast and east before meeting Umiakoviarusek Brook coming from the east. The Sikkoyavik Brook has a length of 70 km.

Umiakoviarusek Brook

The right source river of the Ikinet Brook, the Umiakoviarusek Brook , forms the outflow of the Umiakoviagusek Lake . This lake has an area of ​​1110 hectares and lies at an altitude of about 50  m . The Umiakoviarusek Brook flows from the eastern northern shore of the lake in a predominantly northwestern direction. He has several loops of the river . After 24 kilometers it joins the Sikkoyavik Brook to form the Ikinet Brook.
