Ilyas
Ilyas ( Arabic الياس) is a male Arabic given name. The name comes from Elias , the Latinization of Greek Ἠλίας and Hebrew אֵלִיָּהוּ Elijáhu , back and comes from the prophet Elijah in the Old Testament . It means "My God is YHWH ".
Origin and meaning
The name Ilyas is used in several Koran passages for the prophet Elijah, for example in Sura 6 : 85 and Sura 37 : 125. It is a derivation from the Greek Ελιας (Elias).
