Imanol Agirretxe Arruti (born February 24, 1987 in Usurbil ) is a former Spanish soccer player who was under contract with Real Sociedad in the Spanish Primera Division for 13 years .
Player career
Imanol Agirretxe started his career as a footballer with the traditional Basque club Real Sociedad . There he went through various youth teams before he was appointed to the B team of "Txuri Urdin" in 2005. After two seasons in the Segunda División B with 19 goals in 59 games, Agirretxe made his first-team debut on January 8, 2006 at 0-1 away at Celta Vigo .
Due to the great competition, Agirretxe has not yet been able to prevail at Real Sociedad. After six appearances in his first professional season and relegation to the Segunda División , he hardly plays a role for the professional team. For the second half of the 2006/07 season he was loaned to the second division CD Castellón , but even there he rarely played.
