Imogen Bickford-Smith

Imogen Bickford-Smith (* 1952 in London , England ) is a British actress .

Life

Bickford-Smith made her television debut in 1977 on the BBC television series Jubilee . The following year she starred as Tala in the four-part Doctor Who storyline Underworld opposite the fourth Doctor Tom Baker . In 1979 she starred in John Cleese's sitcom Fawlty Towers ; Other episode roles followed, including in the German-speaking action series Die Profis, which was extremely successful in the German-speaking world . During her film and television career, which lasted only a decade, she appeared in only two feature films, both with the participation of John Cleese. In 1983 she played one of the nurses in the birth scene of the Monty Python comedy The Purpose of Life . In 1988 she portrayed a stenographer in A Fish Called Wanda ; this was her last role so far.
