The album received positive reviews across the board. For some reviewers it is one of the German-language albums of the year: “A great overall package. And a candidate for the heart album of 2018. "According to Intro Magazine , the band and the album at least deserve a certain amount of attention:" Staring Girls prove their relevance with this record perfectly and deserve to be known and loved. "The poetry Nibbes is often the focus of the reviews: "In fact, it is worthwhile to purchase the album in physical form here, since the booklet contains aesthetic black-and-white photography as well as all the texts that cannot always be deciphered directly by simply listening."
Others
The album was recorded live and analog on tape in the summer of 2016 in the Watt 'n Sound studio on the North Frisian North Sea coast. The music video for thieves, scoundrels and people shows the life of homeless painter Nicole Förster. Director Liv Thamsen read the cover story of Hinz und Kunzt and immediately saw a connection between the lyrics and Nicole Förster's story.
