Incredicoaster in Disney's California Adventure Park ( Anaheim , California , USA ) is a steel roller coaster model Looping Coaster from the manufacturer Intamin , which opened on February 8, 2001 as California Screamin ' . It ran under this name until 2017, until the theme of the train was changed to The Incredibles 2 in the 2018 season and the train was renamed as a result.

Although the Incredicoaster is a pure steel roller coaster, it was designed to look like a wooden roller coaster. Mickey's head (replaced by a sun in 2009), in front of which there is the only inversion of the roller coaster - the looping - is mounted on the structure of the lift hill and its descent .

journey

After the train has left one of the two parallel stations, it reaches the acceleration section that is located above the lake. Here the train is accelerated from 0 to 89 km / h within 4 seconds by means of a linear motor. This is followed by a large hill and a few curves before it reaches a lift hill that is also operated by LIM. After its departure there is a long right-hand bend and a long straight, the exit of which leads into the looping. After further curves and small hills, the train reaches the final brake.

Trains

Incredicoaster trains each have six cars. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to be allowed to ride. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system. The trains leave one of the two parallel stations every 72 seconds, which means that a train can run every 36 seconds. An onboard sound system is also installed in the trains.
