The Indelicates are a British indie band that moves musically between folk , punk and noise rock and is best known for their cynical lyrics.
The band was founded in 2005 by the songwriter and ex- comedian Simon Clayton and the singer and pianist Julia Clark Lowes, a former member of the Pipettes . The two form the center of the band and operate as Julia and Simon Indelicate on their releases . They also use the band to showcase their activities as soloists. In the meantime, however, a stable line-up has developed around them. The band has released several singles and EPs in the UK and Germany .
