indiepedia.de

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

indiepedia.de is a German-language online lexicon for indie and pop culture founded in June 2005 , which was launched by the publisher of the Pitti Platsch 3000 fanzine and its content under the Creative Commons license CC-by-nc-sa -3.0 will be released. This allows a copy of the content under the same non-commercial license.

indiepedia.de sees itself as an "information source for those interested in pop culture". Accordingly, the focus is on independent and pop culture , especially on various music scenes and music in general, but there are also articles on film , radio , television , literature and magazines . The basis for the inclusion of the individual articles is indiealism , i.e. the voluntary participation of the authors as well as a relevance lower limit for articles: Bands and musicians are included who have published sound carriers or corresponding mp3 compilations or their activities in connection with popular music beyond the mainstream explanatory value has.

In March 2006, an independent English-language indiepedia with a similar focus was founded, which previously asked for permission to use the name, but was discontinued. Intro magazine reported on Indiepedia.de in the November 2005 issue. In April 2006, the specialist magazine Musikexpress reported in an article on online encyclopedias with a reference to music on Indiepedia.de.

Editing of articles is currently only possible after registration.
