Indravarman II.
Indravarman II (probably † 1243 ) was a king of the Khmer empire of Angkor .
Indravarman II was a son of King Jayavarman VII. Little is known about Indravarman's reign because his successor, Jayavarman VIII , likely destroyed many historical records. The only inscription that mentions him by name is a record of his death in 1243. But this information is also questioned, as a previously unknown inscription in Sanskrit has recently appeared that could change this date.
Indravarman was a Buddhist and he is also credited with enlarging and completing several of his father's buildings. During his peaceful rule, the Khmer Empire lost control of Champa , and the newly established Sukhothai Kingdom conquered several areas in the western territories. It is believed that he was the so-called leper king from the Khmer legends.
