Industrial community aerosols
The Industrie-Gemeinschaft Aerosole eV ( IGA ) represents the common interests of those circles in Germany that are connected with aerosols (= spray cans; spray cans ). In addition to the fillers and marketers of aerosols, these are the manufacturers of the cans and valves, usually made of tinplate , aluminum or plastic , as well as the suppliers of the ingredients contained in aerosols. The association, which was founded in 1958, currently has 65 member companies. The association is based in Frankfurt am Main.
Areas of activity
The IGA provides its member companies with aerosol-relevant information on valid standards, legal innovations and corresponding guidelines on labeling, transport and storage. The sustainable development of the aerosol industry is promoted through the high standards in manufacturing practice and in all safety and environmental issues. In addition, the IGA provides practical assistance in the development and production of innovative products and promotes a general understanding of how aerosol products work and the unique application benefits.
The association actively participates in the work of the European Aerosol Association ( FEA) (based in Brussels) and can thus inform its member companies at an early stage about new regulations and legislative initiatives to be observed.
As part of production statistics, which are compiled annually by the IGA, the association provides information about the aerosol packs filled in various product categories in Germany.
For teaching purposes in which the understanding of how aerosol cans work is to be promoted, the association offers teachers of chemistry, physics or specialist knowledge classes in grades 4 to 8 a teaching set on the subject of aerosols with the title “Psss ... the spray can tells " , Which can be obtained free of charge from the State Film Service.
