Ines El-Darwish

Ines El-Darwish is a former Egyptian table tennis player .

Career

El-Darwish took part in an African Championship three times in the 1960s and won seven gold medals: in 1962 in singles and in doubles with her compatriot Perihan El-Bakri , in 1964 in mixed doubles with Fahmi Ezz Galal and again in 1968 in mixed doubles with Hosni Sonbol . In addition, there are the victories with the women's team. In addition, the Egyptian won three silver medals, first in 1962 in mixed doubles with Fawzi El-Abrashy , then in 1964 in women's doubles with Naser Naila and finally in 1968 in singles. In 1964 she was also in the semi-finals of the individual competition. In addition, El-Darwish won the 1966 Arab Championship in singles, women’s doubles and with the women’s team. There was also the silver medal in mixed doubles and bronze in the individual competition of the Mediterranean Championship in 1968.

Ines El-Darwish is the great-aunt of table tennis player Dina Meshref (* 1994).
