InFAMOUS: Second Son is about a young man named Delsin Rowe who mutates into a conduit after a truck accident .
Delsin and his brother Reggie live with a Native American tribe near the city of Seattle . After Reggie snapped Delsin once again while spraying graffiti, suddenly a truck drives towards her and collides with other cars. Reggie and Delsin investigate the scene of the accident. Delsin finds a man under the massive door of the truck and tries to help. But he is not a normal person, he is a so-called “conduit” or, as others call them, “bio-terrorists”. He has the power to "tame" smoke and thus do superhuman things. When Delsin stops him from shooting Reggie, it happens: Delsin absorbs the force and penetrates the head (into the thoughts = the history of the respective character) of the conduit. Now he can dissolve in smoke and “sprint” through certain objects. But since he cannot use this in a controlled manner, he almost falls off the cliff as he can no longer move normally. Delsin doesn't know what's going on and, after rescuing his brother, sits down on the ground.
Delsin chases the orange-clad conduit named " Henry " to the fish factory, where a "fight" ensues. Henry escapes through the back entrance, but he doesn't get very far. Outside is Brooke Augustine , the head of the DUP (Department of Unified Protection). She petrifies Henry until he's just a cinder block. She injures many civilians, including Betty , an acquaintance of the Rowe brothers, by using sheer thought to grow slivers of concrete through bones. Now Delsin has to decide: is he putting the lives of others at risk in order to save himself or does he save others and put himself in danger?
Then Delsin and Reggie make their way to Seattle to put an end to the DUP for good.
