In the game you play the junkie girl Abigail "Fetch" Walker, who sits in the Curdun Cay conduit prison and tells her story of the prison warden Brooke Augustine, who is already known from Second Son, while she also trains her neon powers in various arenas . Her story takes place in Seattle and is about her and her brother Brent trying to escape to Canada. When Brent asks Fetch for one last job and it fails, Brent is kidnapped. Fetch meets Shane, who is apparently also looking for Brent. Later, after numerous missions in which you mostly had to take out Akulas, police officers and DUP soldiers, Fetch then learns that Shane kidnapped Brent and she tries to track down Shane together with Jenny, who works as a hacker for Shane. Jenny is later murdered and Fetch is now on his own. Fetch tries to save Brent on her own, accidentally killing Brent. Later, back in Curdun Cay Prison, Augustine offers Fetch revenge against Shane. In the process, she accidentally blasts the wall, so that Shane escapes. Now an exciting chase through freezing cold begins, in which you have to put many DUPs out of action and look for Shane. Later at a cliff there is a one-sided showdown and Fetch kills Shane.
