Infected was a Brazilian thrash metal band from Santo André that was founded in 2002 and split up in 2016.

history

The band was founded in early 2002 by singer and guitarist Rodrigo "Infectz" Costa. Until July 2005, the line-up changed several times before the band became inactive. In February of the following year Costa revived them with bassist Bruno "Mad Butcher" Tarelov. Rodrigo Ramos joined as drummer. In December 2006 they played a concert in the Bar Arena Metal in Osasco with the Jackhammer, Guillotine , Sounder , Conquistadores and Violator who were also booked . In April and May 2007 a first demo was recorded, after which Ramos left the cast. Hugo Golon came as a replacement before Henrique Perestrelo joined as the second guitarist. These line-up changes took place in September and October 2007, before the first concert followed with a changed line-up at Club Hangar 110 in São Paulo , in which the groups Jackhammer, Side Effectz, Breakdown , Evokers and Total Mayhem also took part. In September 2008 the band signed a record deal with Mutilation Records , which resulted in their debut album Who Is Not? appeared. In the same year, the group was also seen at the Night of Living Thrashers Festival. In 2009 the band held various appearances, in July the drummer Golo left the line-up for personal reasons and was replaced by Rodrigo Silva. In February 2016, the group announced its breakup.
