Violator is a thrash metal band from Brazil that was formed in 2002. After playing in the underground for six years , the band signed with the Brazilian label "Kill Again Records" and released the debut album Chemical Assault . This was followed by a tour through Brazil and others in France , Paraguay , Argentina , Chile , Uruguay , Venezuela , Japan , Belgium and Italy .

history

The band was founded in 2002 by Pedro Arcanjo (bass, vocals), Juan Lerda (guitar), Pedro Augusto (guitar) and David Araya (drums). The main aim was to make music that is reminiscent of the music of thrash metal bands such as Exodus , Vio-lence and Whiplash .

After a demo ( Killer Instinct , 2002), a compilation ( Fast Food Thrash Metal ) and some gigs in Brazil, Violator got the chance to play in Paraguay . After that, the band played as the opening act for German thrash metal greats such as Destruction or for American death metal bands such as Malevolent Creation .

In January 2004 the band signed a contract with Kill Again Records and the EP Violent Mosh was released . After this publication there were finally 40 concerts in the next two years. Violator toured 10 states in Brazil. One of these concerts was recorded and released on DVD as part of the first edition of Da Tribo Rock magazine. Violent Mosh was also the band's first release outside of Brazil. The EP was released on cassette in Bolivia by Grim Art Prods. It was limited to 666 copies. At the end of 2005 guitarist Juan Leda left the band to continue his studies in his home country Argentina . The farewell show was with the Finnish thrashcore band Força Macabra .

At the beginning of 2006 there was only three of Violator. After six months in the Orbis Studio, Violator made her debut with her first full-length album Chemical Assault . Márcio Cambito joined as the second guitarist. The band then played a few more concerts in Brazil and South America. In 2009 they had the chance to play at the True Thrash Fest in Osaka , Japan with bands like Hirax , Abigail , Fastkill and Impaler. In 2010 Violator released the EP Annihilation Process , with which they continued their typical old school Thrash Metal, which they played since their inception. The EP was the first release with Marcio Cambito. The group toured Europe with the American thrash metal band Fueled by Fire . The band also released various split albums in 2010 , including with Hirax.
