The computer science spectrum is a scientific computer magazine and is supported by Springer-Verlag published bimonthly. The Informatik Spektrum is best known as the official organ of the Gesellschaft für Informatik e. V. (GI) and its associated organizations.

The members of the GI received the paper version ( ISSN 0170-6012 ) by the end of 2017 . Since then, membership has only included access to the electronic version ( ISSN 1432-122X ).
