Information deficit

According to Winfried Hacker, an information deficit is understood to mean the lack of information , the lack of information at the right time, the incompleteness of information or the inaccuracy of information.

An information deficit can arise when a demand for information ( need for information ) exceeds the supply of information. It then represents an excess demand for information. Balancing supply and demand for information is, according to Helmut Krcmar, the task of information management within the framework of the information economy .
