The Brandenburg Gate Information Center was an office of the GDR border troops in Berlin .

The employees of the information center had the task of informing state visitors of the GDR about the Berlin Wall from the perspective of the GDR. This happened in one of the gatehouses by means of an illustrated exhibition.

The highlight of such an information visit at the Brandenburg Gate was the walk through the gate to the visitor platform on the west side of the gate.

From here, the state guests had a look at the border security and to West Berlin, the most to them by the Berlin NVA - Commandant was declared accordingly or his deputy and the commander of the information point of state doctrine. During its existence from 1961 to 1989, about 30,000 people visited the information center.
