Inge Kauerauf

Inge Kauerauf (* 24 July 1939 in Bernburg (Saale) ) is a German politician of the SPD and from 1994 to 2002 member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

After visiting EOS , Kauerauf did an apprenticeship as a druggist . She then studied physics and chemistry and worked from 1963 to 1990 as a specialist teacher for biology and chemistry in Wittenberg and Zahna .

Kauerauf is married to Dieter Kauerauf and has three children.

Political party

In March 1990 she was a founding member of the SPD in Zahna.

Political mandates

From 1990 to 1994 Kauerauf was a member of the city council and mayor of the city of Zahna. She was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from the second electoral term and did not run again for the 2002 state elections. Kauerauf represented the constituency of Jessen and was a member of the Committee on Education and Science and the Committee on Home Affairs.
