Ingemarie Saß (born June 29, 1941 in Rostock as Ingemarie Hansen ) is a German sports educator and university professor .

Life

The daughter of a teacher passed her Abitur in 1960 in Gadebusch  and then did a teaching degree in German and physical education at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald until 1964 . From 1964 to 1969 she was a member of the teaching staff at the Medical School Greifswald, and from 1969 she worked at the Institute for Sports Science at the University of Rostock  . In 1973 her doctoral thesis on the subject of "Problems of sporting leisure activities for girls and female adolescents in general schools" was accepted there. Thereafter, Saß held a position as senior assistant at the University of Rostock, she completed her habilitation in 1982 (title of the publication: "Organized leisure time activities in general sports groups with secondary and high school students. A contribution to the further development of the content of extracurricular sport") from. Between 1983 and 1992 she was a lecturer for sports methodology at the University of Rostock, in 1992 Saß took up an HRG professorship for sports education / sports didactics at the same university, and from 1998 she was an adjunct professor. In 2004, Saß retired from university.

In her academic work, she dealt in particular with school sport, recreational sport, curriculum research in the subject of sport, intercultural learning and sporty lifestyles, motor performance and Olympic ideals of adolescents. She contributed the section “School Sports” to the “Handbuch Sportpädagogik” published in 2001.
