Inger Lise Rypdal (born Inger Lise Andersen , born December 14, 1949 in Lena, Østre Toten ) is a Norwegian pop , rock and jazz singer and actress .

Life

Rypdal made her debut in 1968 as the singer of the group Wentzel on the album Get Closer / Baby Baby . In the same year her first solo albums Romeo & Julie and Fru Jonsen were released , the latter also being a great success in Sweden. She then worked with her future husband Terje Rypdal (ECM record of the same name from 1971), as well as with musicians such as Wencke Myhre and Kirsti Sparboe . In 2005 Rypdal received the Norwegian Gammlengprisen for her musical life achievement.

She took part in the Melodi Grand Prix , the Norwegian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , eleven times: 1969 (as Inger Lise Andersen - Eventyr ), 1972 ( Lillebror ), 1973 (with two songs: Alternative ; together with Ola Neegaard, Gro Anita Schønn & Stein Ingebrigtsen - Å for et spill ), 1974 (with Stein Ingebrigtsen - Yo-Yo), 1976 (with Jahn Teigen - Voodoo ), 1979 ( Så lenge du er hos meg ), 1980 ( Svart fortid ), 1981 ( Tankar ), 1982 ( Lady Di ), 1983 (with Freddy Berg - Elegi ), 1984 ( Vindar ).

In the 1970s she also appeared as a singer in revues by Einar Schanke and Dag Frøland and in musicals such as the Kleiner Horrorladen . In 1974 she took part in the musical film Ungen . In Oskar Braatens Kjære Maren (1976) and Amalie Skrams Lucie (1979) she played the title role; She had other leading roles in Erik Løchens Fabel (1979) and Bente Erichsen's Over grensen (1987).

Rypdal is the sister of the actress and singer Maj-Britt Andersen .
