Ingmar De Vos (born August 5, 1963 ) is a Belgian sports official .

General

Ingmar De Vos studied at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and obtained his Masters in Political Science in 1985 and in International and European Law in 1987. From 1989 to 1990 he was an advisor in the Belgian Senate .

Connection to sport

From 1990 he became a professional sports official. Until 1997 he was general director and from 1997 to 2011 general secretary of the Belgian Equestrian Association. He then became General Secretary and, from 2014, President of the Fédération Equestre Internationale .

Between 1990 and 2010, De Vos was team boss of the Belgian show jumping team and boss de mission of the Belgian team at the World Equestrian Games . At the Olympic Summer Games in 2000, 2004 and 2008 he was a delegation rider for the Belgian riding team.

In 2017 he was elected an IOC member.

Private

De Vos is a member of the International Gender Champions network , which advocates gender equality in international organizations.
