Anahit Barseghjan

Anahit Barseghjan ( Armenian Անահիտ Բարսեղյան ; born March 3, 1994 in Kharkiv , Ukraine ) is an Armenian swimmer . She holds Armenian records in the disciplines of 50 meters butterfly , 50 meters back and 100 meters back. Her height is 1.63 m.

Life

She started swimming at the age of seven. Her father was the director of the swimming pool in the Yerevan Pioneer Palace. Your swimming club in Armenia is Team Neptun. She was trained by her father, by the coach of the Armenian youth national team Arman Wahanjan and by the Armenian national coach Misak Gabrieljan .

successes

From 2006 to 2013 she swam for Armenian national teams in several competitions. She was able to win the Armenian championship in various disciplines in 2006, 2007 and 2009.

She was registered for four disciplines at the 2009 World Swimming Championships in Rome , but did not make it into a final: In the 50 meter back she was 93rd out of 133 participants with 32:47 s and 120 in the 100 meter freestyle with 1:02:69 min. of 165 and in the 50 meter freestyle with 29:12 s 122nd of 176. She did not compete in the 100 meters back.

At the 1st Summer Youth Olympic Games , which took place in Singapore in 2010 , she took part in the 50-meter backstroke. She retired there with 32.79 s in the qualification.

At the 2011 World Swimming Championships in Shanghai , she was eliminated from the qualification with 1:08:99 min in 100 meters back. She was 51st out of 53 participants.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , she was the only Armenian participant to take part in the swimming competitions. In the backstroke over 100 meters she was eliminated in the first qualifying round with a time of 1:08:19 min as the fourth of five participants. She finished 44th out of 45 participants in the overall classification, only leaving Monegasque Angélique Trinquier behind.

At the short course world championships in 2012 in Istanbul she was in the 100 meters back with 1: 05; 71 min 50th of 69 participants, in the 50 meters butterfly with 29.84 seconds 50th out of 83 and in the 50 meters back with 30:39 seconds 42. of 66. In all three disciplines, she swam the Armenian record in Istanbul.
