Ingo Bockler

Ingo Bockler (born April 10, 1964 in Braunschweig ) is a German cook and recipe writer.

Life

Bockler was born in Braunschweig, where he spent his childhood. He completed his training as a chef at the Löwen-Krone restaurant in Braunschweig. This was followed by positions at the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Alpenhof Murnau, Restaurant Noesse and Restaurant Jörg Müller on Sylt.

During his work as head chef at the Merlin restaurant in Großburgwedel, it was first awarded a star by the Michelin Guide in 2003 . Since 2004 he has been head chef at the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Hohenhaus in Herleshausen in northern Hesse . His cuisine at Hohenhaus - most recently awarded 3 F in the gastro guide Der Feinschmecker , with 16 points in Gault Millau and with three wooden spoons in the Schlemmer Atlas - is characterized by regional products, modern kitchen techniques and influences from haute cuisine . Since 2018 he has been head chef for the two restaurants Kokenstube and Kokenkrug in the Hotel Kokenhof in Großburgwedel near Hanover, which belongs to the Kind group of companies .

In addition, since 2012 Bockler has shown a regular radio presence in the program for culinary lifestyle from the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt "Dolce Vita" on HR 1, after having been invited as head chef to the Hessischer Rundfunk's "HR4 listening hour" in previous years .
