Ingrid Bittner

Ingrid Bittner (born April 16, 1944 in Wernigerode ; † April 21, 2002 in Eisleben ) was a member of the People's Chamber of the PDS in 1990 .

Life

Ingrid Bittner passed her A-levels at an EOS in Halberstadt in 1962. She then studied medicine at the Humboldt University in Berlin, and later until 1969 at the TU Magdeburg. In 1970 she became Dr. med is doing his doctorate. She then completed a specialist training in Halberstadt, which she completed in 1974 as a specialist in paediatrics. Between 1979 and 1981 she practiced as a doctor in obstetrics. In 1981, Bittner got the offer to work as a pediatrician in Algeria. She accepted this offer. In 1982 she first returned to the GDR. Until 1986 Bittner practiced partly in Staßfurt, partly as a pediatrician in Mozambique. After her return she became a pediatrician at the Eisleben District Polyclinic. After the fall of the Wall, Ingrid Bittner continued to practice as a resident pediatrician in Eisleben until her death.

Ingrid Bitter was married and had three children.

After a foreign assignment, Ingrid Bittner joined the SED in 1985 at the age of 41 . For the PDS she ran for the Volkskammer election in 1990 in constituency 07 (Halle) on list position 5. Due to the election results, she became a member of the Volkskammer. After the dissolution of the People's Chamber, Bittner initially joined the 11th Bundestag as one of 144 members of the People's Chamber. She no longer ran for the elections to the 12th Bundestag. Until 1994 she was a member of the PDS district board in Eisleben.
