Ingrid Reichel (* 1961 in St. Pölten , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian visual artist , essayist , exhibition critic and reviewer .

Life

Ingrid Reichel grew up in Kabul / Afghanistan and from 1967 to 1981 in Paris / France . Since then she has lived with her family in St. Pölten. In 1991 her first exhibitions of her artistic work took place. In her art she deals with socio-political issues, on a stylistic level with reflections and distortions. Ingrid Reichel is active in cultural policy in St. Pölten and deals with the communication of art and culture to children and young people. Since 2005 she has been writing exhibition reviews , essays, reviews and artist portraits. She is a board member of the St. Pölten Literary Society and works on their literary magazine  » etcetera «.
