Ingweilerhof belongs to the Reipoltskirchen community in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Kusel . Ingweiler Castle was located here in the 13th century . In 1339 Ritter Engelbrecht von Reipoltskirchen received the Ingweilerhof from Count Georg von Veldenz as a fief that could be inherited by his son and daughter. Descendants sold him to Count Palatine Johann I of Pfalz-Zweibrücken in 1580 . In 1760, Count Palatine Christian IV gave Ingweilerhof and Ausbacherhof to his Minister von Esebeck as inheritance. Ten years later the baron died on the Ingweilerhof and is buried there in the court chapel. The baronial family coat of arms can still be seen today above the entrance portal of the former manor house. Today the Ingweilerhof is home to a retirement home.
