The Inland Forts are a series of mountain peaks between Northwest Mountain and Saint Pauls Mountain in the Asgard Range in East Antarctic Victoria Land . Mattox Bastion is one of these peaks .
The peaks were discovered and descriptively named by participants in the British Discovery Expedition (1901–1904).
