Innerpartysystem was an American band from Mohnton, Pennsylvania, formed in 2006 . Her debut EP was released in November 2007 and her first self-titled album in late September 2008.
Career
Naming
According to a quote from Jared Piccone, the name of the band is derived from the book 1984 by George Orwell : "In George Orwell's' 1984 'social classes were defined as the inner party, outer party, and the working class. It sounds really' holier than thou 'when you say it, we're really not this full of ourselves, but we liked the idea of creating this full, multimedia, over-stimulating, elitist environment that we were trying to invite everyone into. It's the ironic elitist class . " There are 3 social classes in the book: the inner party, the outer party, and the working class. The inner party, from which the name of the band is finally derived, are the prophets, who primarily took on the task of "thinking" and at the same time formed the highest class.
2000-2007
Before the band Innerpartysystem was formed, Patrick Nissley played in the emo band Thirteen Over Night, Jared Piccone joined in 2000, a few years after it was founded. Although they received quite a bit of attention locally, success only came in 2006 with the creation of the project "The Takeover", which was later renamed Innerpartysystem and now specialized in music with an electronic style. In May 2007 they signed a record deal with the music label Stolen Transmissions.
2008-2010
In May 2008 the first single 'Don't Stop' was released in the UK . In the same year, the band played at numerous events in preparation for the release of their first album, including the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago and appearances on Linkin Park's Project Revolution tour . Shortly before the album was released (September 29, 2008), the second single 'Die Tonight, Live Forever' was released at the end of September 2008. After a re-release of the single 'Don't Stop' in Great Britain on February 9, 2009, the band released the third single from their album 'Heart Of Fire' on May 4, 2009 .
2010-2011
On September 2, 2010, the band announced on Twitter that Innerpartysystem would release a new album in 2011. In February 2011, the Never Be Content EP was released.
On June 24, 2011, Innerpartysystem released their video for Not Getting Any Better on YouTube.
On August 3, 2011, the band announced the premature end, stating that although they will not separate completely, the band will no longer be active in the constellation for an indefinite period of time.
