The Inoceramus Point is a headland on the south coast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It marks the south-eastern limit of the entrance to Carlsson Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1993. It is named after fossils of mussels of the genus Inoceramus found here , which are considered key fossils of the Turonium .
