A current successful author is invited to the regular writers' meeting in Badger's Drift, against the will of the chairman, who hates him. The chairman is murdered the same evening. At the Amadeus premiere of the local theater group, in which Joyce also played, the Salieri leading actor is killed on stage because the protective tape of the razor that he is pulling over his throat has been mysteriously removed. He was an arrogant sack and had many enemies, but his worst was the unworldly director of the play, who in his madness about full control over the theater doesn't care about human life.

In Badger's Drift, where Joyce “retrospectively” wants to marry in church, several brutal murders occur: one man is beheaded with a saber, another burned alive, and a third shot with an arrow. At first, a controversial real estate deal seems to be the decisive factor, but that is the wrong lead. A long time ago a schoolboy was found hanged in the forest, and only now does one of the “perpetrators” confess that it was not suicide, which drives the pastor, the boy's secret father, to bloody revenge.
7th 2 The strangler of Raven's Wood Strangler's Wood Feb 3, 1999 July 3, 2005 Jeremy Silberston Anthony Horowitz 10.70
Playing children find a murdered woman in Raven's Wood. The act is reminiscent of the “strangler” who strangled several women there years ago and was never caught. In fact, however, it is an act of imitation which is only intended to safeguard the market policy interests of a large tobacco company. Barnaby is groping in the dark for a long time because a boy is laying the wrong tracks to incriminate his hated father, without knowing that he is putting himself in great danger, since he would be the only one who could relieve his father again.

When traveling people camp under Orville Tudway in Martyr Warren, the militant judge Hector Bridges tries to evict them by force, but is shot shortly afterwards. Tudway had served under Bridges in the Falklands War and was sent by him on a suicide mission. But the domineering Hector has sown so much hatred even in his immediate family that Tom Barnaby's investigations meet with resistance everywhere.

Together with the Danish investigator Birgitte Poulsen from “Barnaby Must Travel”, Barnaby finds out that industrial secrets are transmitted during these tests, which is why people had to die earlier. 122 6th A murder circus Send in the clowns Jan. 14, 2020 Feb. 2, 2020 Nick Laughland Julia Gilbert -
