Institut d'Estadística de Catalunya
The Institut d'Estadística de Catalunya (IDESCAT) is the statistical office of the Spanish region of Catalonia . It is an autonomous administrative authority with its own legal personality within the portfolio of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya . The task of IDESCAT is the planning, standardization, coordination and administration of regional statistics in Catalonia.
The seat of the authority is on Via Laietana in the Barri Gòtic in Barcelona .
