The Institute for Intercultural Communication eV (IIK) offers a variety of German courses: integration and orientation courses, literacy courses, initial orientation courses, courses for women, A1, A2, B2 and C1 courses, job-related language courses and special German courses for foreign doctors and nursing staff. The IIK offers extensive German courses and addressee-specific materials as well as other professional help online free of charge on its project web portals: German for foreign doctors and nurses, German as the business language in the areas of service, marketing and management. Founded in 1991, the institute has branches in Berlin, Bavaria and Thuringia. Since 2005, the IIK has been an “approved carrier for the promotion of professional development according to the law of employment promotion ”.
