Telc gGmbH offers over 90 certificates in ten languages, including general language and job-related exams as well as exams for schoolchildren. history

The European language certificates - today telc exams, formerly VHS certificate - were created in 1968 as a team of language experts led by Robert Nowacek as the first standardized language test for the German Adult Education Association. V. (DVV) developed the adult education center's VHS certificate in English. Over the years, exams in other European languages ​​followed. In 1995 the DVV examination center became a member of the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE). In 1998 the DVV examination center was founded as WBT Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH (WBT), eight years later it was renamed telc gGmbH (The European Language Certificates).

Examination execution

Telc exams can be taken at over 3,000 test centers worldwide, but also at adult education centers and private language schools. Telc certificates are valid for an unlimited period of time.
