The Institut français de Munich is the branch of the French cultural institute in Munich , it has been located in the former Palais Seyssel d'Aix (built in 1856) at Kaulbachstrasse 13 near the university in the Maxvorstadt district for over 50 years .

Offers and services

The institute offers an annual seminar in Fischbachau , to which it invites eight French people from the fields of culture , politics , education and business to discuss German-French relations. It also offers around 100 French language courses with a total of more than 2500 participants each year. The institute also offers other courses that prepare students for various degrees and certificates , including those of the DELF-DALF program .

It also offers readings, concerts , exhibitions and conferences. The majority of these events are devoted to current art trends and social debates, the exchange of ideas and Franco-German relations in general. It also provides information about France and has more than 28,000 books , audiovisual media and magazines available for loan in a library .

There is a cooperation with some Bavarian schools and universities.
