Institute of High Energy Physics
The Institute of High Energy Physics ( IHEP ) in Beijing is the largest center for basic research in the field of high energy physics in the People's Republic of China . It is assigned to the Chinese Academy of Sciences . The main research areas at IHEP are particle physics , accelerator physics and technologies, radiation technologies and applications of radiation . The institute is headed by Wang Yifang and five vice directors.
