Intel 8251
The Intel 8251 is a programmable serial interface module ( USART , RS-232 ), which for the Intel-8080 / 8085 processors has been developed. The module is supplied in a 28-pin DIL housing . He was u. a. licensed to NEC and Siemens . The transfer rate in asynchronous mode is up to 19,200 baud .
This module is a slightly incompatible variant of the NSC 8250 , which was provided in the IBM PC standard design.
