Intelligence is a multidisciplinary scientific journal with a psychological focus, in which articles on intelligence and cognitive research appear.

The journal was founded in 1977 by Douglas K. Detterman of Case Western Reserve University and is published by Elsevier . It is the publication organ of the International Society for Intelligence Research . With an impact factor of 3,245 in 2014, it is one of the most cited journals in its field.

Douglas K. Detterman was editor of the journal until 2016 ; he is succeeded by Richard J. Haier from the University of California .
