The Interlübke Luebke GmbH is a furniture company from Rheda-Wiedenbrück in Eastern Westphalia . The company specializes in high-quality designer furniture.

History of the company

In 1937 the brothers Hans and Leo Lübke founded the Gebrüder Lübke GmbH & Co. KG , a "special factory for polished bedrooms" in Wiedenbrück . The brand name Interlübke was created in 1963. The part of the name “Inter” refers to “ Interior ” and “Internationality”, the second to the name of the owner family at the time.

After growth phases, losses occurred in the 1990s. A product line “Unit” could not achieve the desired success in the mass market.

Horst Lübke, son of Hans Lübke, who had been managing partner of the company since 1972, retired from management to join the advisory board in 1995. In the same year Helmut Lübke , who had previously only had a twelve percent stake, joined his father's company, discontinued the "Unit" product line and developed the program further in the direction of a manufacturer of luxury system furniture.

Helmut Lübke died on October 3rd, 2006 while on a private trip to Africa. Then his son Leo Lübke took over the company, in addition to managing the upholstered furniture manufacturer Cor (October 2006 to October 2014). Leo Lübke brought the two brands closer together, and joint Cor + Interlübke furniture stores emerged.

On October 22, 2012, the Interlübke company filed its own application with the Bielefeld district court to open insolvency proceedings, and on January 14, 2013, Interlübke started over in the form of a transferring restructuring . The sale of the company assets including the trademark rights to Lübke GmbH & Co. KG with the managing partner Leo Lübke became effective on this day.

On October 8, 2014, Interlübke announced the acquisition of the company by entrepreneurs Peter Rutishauser and Richard Lenz. Both managed Interlübke jointly as managing partners until May 31, 2016. On June 1, 2016, Peter Rutishauser left the management and remained a partner. The joint exhibition by Cor and Interlübke was dissolved.

From June 1, 2016, Johannes Schulte and Richard Lenz led the company as managing partners. In August 2016, Schulte left the management again. His successor was Patrik Bernstein, who has been the company's managing director since August 23, 2016.

On February 27, 2018, Axel Schramm, owner and managing director of the bed manufacturer Schramm Werkstätten, and President of the Association of the German Furniture Industry, acquired the majority in the company interlübke. MB Mittelstandsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft from Osnabrück takes over further shares. In addition to Patrik Bernstein, who remains managing director, Axel Schramm and his son Philipp Schramm have also been involved in the operative business since then.
