International Health Partnership and Related Initiatives

The International Health Partnership Program and related initiatives ( Engl. International Health Partnership and Related Initiatives , ihp + ) was established in September 2007. It results from the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness and aims to address deficits in healthcare financing in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) process. It is

  • aligned to health care-relevant MDG effects by increasing the effectiveness of development cooperation , policy advice, strategies and performance of health systems and to mobilize the actors (including non-governmental ones) to act as well
  • aligned with a partner country and under the leadership of the same. All activities will take local circumstances into account and build on existing structures and plans. If necessary, they are supported by regional or global initiatives.

Operating area

The organization is active in Burundi , Cambodia , Ethiopia , Kenya , Madagascar , Mali , Mozambique , Nepal , Nigeria and Zambia . Restricted members are Benin , Burkina Faso , Ghana and Niger .
