International League for Human Rights

The International League for Human Rights (ILHR) was founded in New York City in 1941 as the new international umbrella organization for the human rights movement when the Fédération Internationale des Ligues des Droits de l'Homme (FIDH) was unable to operate due to the war .

After the Second World War, the German representation was the International League for Human Rights (Berlin) , Section Berlin eV

It is not known why the FIDH and ILHR did not merge later.
