International ND Kondratiev Foundation

The International ND Kondratiev Foundation (IKF), in English Internationale ND Kondratieff Foundation , is a foundation and an economic research institute based in Moscow . It was founded in 1992 at an international conference in honor of the Russian economist Nikolai Kondratjew , whose birthday is 100 years old. The foundation is officially recognized by the Russian Academy of Sciences . The founding father was the economist Leonid Ivanovich Abalkin .

activities

The foundation's activities can be divided into three areas:

• Organization of international conferences, meetings and Kondratieff readings
• Coordination of interdisciplinary research at the request of government organizations
• Implementation of international competitions for the Kondratieff Prize

Kondratieff Prize

In 1993 the foundation created the Kondratieff Prize together with the Russian Academy of Sciences, which has since been awarded in gold, silver and bronze medals. These are awarded every three years to national and international scientists. In addition, young researchers are also honored.

After Wilhelm Krelle in 1995, Paul JJ Welfens was the second German to be awarded the prize.
