International badge of the Austrian ice hockey association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Austrian Ice Hockey Association awarded the “International Badge” as a special award for Austrian ice hockey players. The international department in the ice hockey association was responsible for the award. Members who had not received the badge were expressly prohibited from wearing it. The year of the award was embroidered on the badge. If this badge was awarded several times, the year was embroidered. On the occasion of winning the European Championship in 1927, the international badge was worked in gold. It was first awarded for the 1925/26 season. The award in 1938 could no longer take place due to the German invasion of Austria.
