history

The bank was founded in 1996 under the leadership of Landeskreditbank Baden-Württemberg and Vorarlberger Landes- und Hypothekenbank. By merging the market part of the Landeskreditbank Baden-Württemberg, the LG and the Südwest LB to form LBBW , the ownership share of the Landeskreditbank was transferred to LBBW. In the spring of 2009, the Würth Group bought the 1.45% stake held by the management to date and increased its stake to 90%.
