The Fiducia IT AG and GAD is a German IT service provider . The core business of the corporate group is IT services for Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks , as well as for other companies and central institutions of the cooperative financial network. The company has two main locations in Karlsruhe and Münster as well as branches in Munich , Frankfurt and Berlin ; The seat of the statutes is Frankfurt am Main .
"Fiducia" is Latin and means "trust". GAD is the former acronym for G ompany for a utomatic D atenverarbeitung.
history
At the end of 2013, Fiducia IT and GAD started talks about a possible merger . After similar talks failed in recent years, an agreement was reached. In October 2014, the supervisory boards and in November and December the owners of both companies approved a merger. It became legally binding on July 1, 2015. As part of this merger, it was decided to downsize the board. According to the company, Jörg Dreinhöfer left the Board of Management on December 31, 2018.

Fiducia & GAD IT AG provides its customers with all IT services in its own data centers and in a community cloud . In addition to its activities as a data center and IT service provider, one of the company's main tasks is the development and provision of bank-specific software and corresponding consulting services. Core banking system agree21
All banks affiliated to the former GAD eG have been using the overall banking software solution " bank21 " so far, while those affiliated to the former Fiducia IT AG have used the " agree " solution . The new joint banking procedure is called "agree21" and is essentially based on agree. All German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks are to be converted to the new procedure by 2019. In addition to the VR banks, the PSD banks and the Internationale Bankhaus Bodensee also use this software.
