International Werner Seelenbinder Memorial Tournament 1978

The International Werner Seelenbinder Memorial Tournament 1978 took place from 22nd to 24th. September 1978 in Gera . It was the sixth edition of the International Championships of the GDR in badminton . For the first and only time, Gera hosted the title fights. Athletes from five countries (GDR, USSR, ČSSR, Poland and Bulgaria) took part. The individual and mixed competitions were played in a grid of 32 participants each, the double competitions in a grid of 16 participants each.
