The Intime Theater was a theater in Göttingen that existed from 1950 to 1954 .

history

As early as 1949, actors without engagement founded a room theater in a private house on Hohen Weg in Göttingen , which, however, had its last season in the summer of 1950.

On December 2, 1950 , other artists, also mostly former members of the former theater of the city of Göttingen, set up their own stage again under the direction of Alwin Woesthoff in the house of the Holzminda fraternity , the Intime Theater . It was with the drama The Forgotten of Ernst Nebhut opened. This financially independent stage only played modern pieces and gave its last performance on August 4, 1954 . The director Woesthoff then a member of the ensemble of the Deutsches Theater in Göttingen as an actor and director from 1955 until his death of 2003.
