Intrinsic is an American power and speed metal band from Morro Bay , California that was formed in 1984, disbanded in 1996, and reunited in 2006.
history
The band was formed in 1984 by guitarists Ron Crawford and Mike Mellinger. The band played with groups like Megadeth and Armored Saint before the group split from singer Garret Graupner after the self-titled debut album was released in 1987. 10,000 copies of it were sold. In 1988, ex- Metal Church singer David Wayne joined the band, but he soon left - because he did not want to subordinate his urge to self-realization to the band's idea - to join Heathen . The EP Distortion of Perspective includes Lee Dehmer as the new singer. Guitarist Garrett Craddock had also replaced Ron Crawford. The second album Closure followed in 1996 . The album features singer Dehmer, guitarists Craddock and Michael Mellinger, drummer Christopher Binns and bassist Mike McClaughlin. In the same year the band broke up. They got together again in 2006 and played their first concert since the re-establishment in September 2006.
style
The band plays an aggressive mix of power and thrash metal, making the band comparable to groups like Savage Grace and Griffin .
