Ioan Dovalciuc

Ioan Dănuț Dovalciuc (born June 20, 1984 in Suceava ) is a former Romanian bobsledder .

Dovalciuc began bobsleigh in 2005 and was included in the national team that same year. In 2006 he took part in the Winter Olympics in Turin , where he finished 22nd with the four-man bobsleigh. In 2007 he took part in a world championship for the first time . In St. Moritz he reached eleventh place with the two-man bobsleigh driven by Nicolae Istrate .

At the Junior World Championship in Innsbruck in 2008 Dovalciuc reached fifth place in the two-man bobsleigh with Istrate and tenth place in the four-man bobsleigh. In the same month the Romanians finished 20th with both bobsleds at the World Championships in Altenberg. At the 2009 Bobsleigh World Championship in Lake Placid, Dovalciuc reached 18th place with the Romanian four-man bobsleigh and 25th place in the two-man bobsleigh. In 2010 he took part in his second Olympic Games ( Vancouver ). In the Whistler Sliding Center , the Romanians reached 15th place.
